Chukwuemeka .A. Mbamala Esq. Candidate cleared by the NBA Election Appeal Committee is a native of Edenta Awo-Idemili in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State Nigeria. Awo -Idemili shares boundary from the south with Iseke town in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He started his humble beginning in life by attending Primary and Secondary School in his State under a father that loves education. He read law at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (Esut) and obtained
LLB, Hons. and was called to the Nigerian Bar in May, 2007.
After the National youth service with the Ministry of Justice Asaba, Delta State of Nigeria, he joined the Chambers of D.U
Okorowo & Co now Justice D.U Okorowo of the Federal High Court Abuja where he learnt the steps of law practice. In 2011, he joined the Chambers of his Elder brother, Arthur Mbamala & Co a commercial litigation and Consultancy Firm and became the Managing Partner till date.
To broaden his knowledge of law, he has under gone some capacity building program/seminars which includes Alternative to Dispute Resolutions ADR, Institute of Chartered Mediators and
Conciliators (ICMC). He has attended conferences and seminars, he attended a 4 day workshop in UK, organized by NBA/Bar Society of England and Wales in 2017.
He is a passionate member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a committed member of his branch, the Nigerian Bar Association Enugu Branch known as (SECONDUS NULUS).
He has served the Bar in different capacities both at the branch and at the National Level which includes

He is a member of the Eastern Bar Forum (Ebf) International Bar Association (IBA) Pan African Lawyers Union (Palu) and African Bar Association (ABA)
He belongs to NBA sections, SBL, SLP and SPIDEL. He attends conferences of these sections.
He has over the years built himself a reputation of service, excellence, hard work and diligence to duty. He strives to do things differently with innovations. As the Publicity Secretary of his branch, he created for the first time a phone book and introduced the system of bulk sms in disseminating information to members. In 2010, he made an analysis of earnings of young lawyers and discovered that the problem with most young lawyers is lack of savings. He introduced with the approval of the executive committee of his branch a scheme called LEGALSAVE INITIATIVE ENUGU NIGERIA for Lawyers.
Legalsave as a brand name is a saving scheme designed to help lawyers plan their financial year. The saved money help lawyers to pay their practicing fee and Bar dues and other levies as at when due, subscribe to law reports, acquire property, pay house/office rent and access loan etc. the benefits cannot be over emphasized. The practice has been embraced by neighboring branches of NBA. The branch dedicated a page in their yearly diary for awareness on this scheme. For this innovation, he was given an award of excellence in recognition of Law entrepreneurship and consistency in legalsave initiative for lawyers, ie accountability and transparency defined in 2021.
As an Assistant Publicity Secretary 2016-2018, he took charge of the Publicity team for three months when there was a vacuum created by the disqualification of John Unachukwu the only candidate for the post of Publicity Secretary by ECNBA. At the Lagos NBA/AGC, in 2017, the Publicity team exhibited capacity and diligence in sending sms to members for sessions, time and venue.
The affair of the young lawyers touches him most, as a friend of the young Lawyers, he inspires them to dream, to learn and achieve more with handwork, commitment to duty and persistence. As a young lawyer he initiated the legal save initiative to help the young lawyers save money, to sustain their practice. It is on record that he has sponsored some young lawyers in branch to NBA Annual General Conference. He believes the future of the Bar is in the hands of the young ones.
Mbamala has sat on the Borad of a Micro Finance Co-Operative Society Ltd and understood the principles of Accounting, Book keeping and Investment Portfolios.
Chukwuemeka is a Christian, married to Christiana Adaobi. The marriage is blessed with Children.
