Most people will certainly agree with me that the lockdown caused by Covid-19 had given most people the mush needed rest which they ordinarily would not have given themselves. Almost everyone is enjoying the lockdown; even Pastors.
This is what lawyerwak.com reported on its blog on 13th April 2020, “ Covid 19 – We are not out of the woods yet”, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, said that, his God is not dead and is in control of the situation of the pandemic in Nigeria.
But, that, we should not relax in the fight against conoravirus. He further stated that, the whole world is now having a compulsory holiday, and that he is enjoying the holiday. According to him,’ for some of us, who do not know how to slow down, God himself has to apply the break’.
Many Pastors had been working in the Vineyard of the Lord. They have been preaching, teaching, counseling and attending various meetings, services, workshops, conferences, retreats, seminars, missions etc to no end.
These programs just kept pouring in, demanding so mush time and energy. They forget themselves and leave their families . They do not want to be thought of as lazy or not spiritual or zealous for the work of God.
But, thank God for His understanding. He knows that his children need rest. He always gives us what is best at the right time. God’s love and care for us often manifest in ways we never thought of or hoped for. He shows His love and care in awesome ways.
So now, we have a compulsory rest that no one can deny us of. Everyone now rest at home without fear, shame or self reproach. God is good. He had given us rest. His ways cannot be found out.
