“The death of Dr. Hauwa Shekarau came to me as a rude shock. Just a few days ago I congratulated her for hosting an eventful Bar Week and we are expecting to get more contributions from her and not death.
“She was a shinning light in the legal profession, a pace setter and firm believer in the Rule of law. Words will fail me to describe this Amazon with a heart of gold.
“I condole with her family, the Unity Bar, FIDA and the NBA.
“May God rest her soul.”
