Seven members of the 2017-2019 Executive Committee of the Lagos Branch have endorsed the frontline candidate for the office of the NBA President, Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN. They are: Moshood Abiola, Nkechi Nnajiofor, Jeffrey Eboh, George Ukwuoma, Foluke Akinmoladun, Shola Abiloye and Chinenye Oragwu. In their statement they said –

“During his tenure as Chairman of the Lagos Branch, Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN, demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. He led with diligence, innovation, and proactiveness, ensuring that all opinions were respected and considered within the EXCO. His leadership was marked by forthrightness and a unifying spirit, making him a leader who listened attentively.

Under Mr. Ikwuazom’s guidance, the Branch saw the introduction of several impactful initiatives that have been sustained by the Lagos branch and adopted by other branches. These include monthly financial reporting at branch meetings, the establishment of a Knowledge Sharing Session (KSS) that significantly boosted physical attendance at monthly meetings from 250 to over 1000 members at the end of his tenure, the reconstitution of the Continuing Legal Education Committee (CLE), implementation of a mentoring program for young lawyers, and effective management and investment of the branch finances.

Given his continued sustained impact and leadership within the legal community, we are confident in Mr. Ikwuazom, SAN’s ability to replicate his transformative leadership at the national level, to the benefit of the entire legal profession.”
