I am passionate about service. Many people know me as a student who learns fast in the alter of service to others. Reaching out to others in need gives me special joy and happiness riches cannot offer. I stand against oppression of any kind and cheating. This has propelled me to do so many pro-bono cases.

My approach to services and taking of responsibilities that have been bestowed on me has always been different. I put in my all and the results are always amazing, that is why most times my colleagues and peers refer to me as a man with the midas touch. It is my honest belief that there will be more and better opportunities to make my contributions to our association. Perhaps, it is not my turn to serve the NBA now although I would have loved to serve in this administration.

It is in the light of the above that I congratulate Mr. Olumide Anthony Akpata led executive and entrust them in the hands of the Almighty God. I pray that our president elect put smiles on our faces as the 30th president of the NBA. I also congratulate Mr. John Aikpokpo Martins, the first Vice president of our association and urge him to work closely with Mr. President and ease his burden. I have no doubt that John will assist Mr. President as much as he can and as often as he could.

In equal measures, I congratulate our 2nd Vice president Mr. Adeyemo Kazeem Dabo, Mrs. Joyce Oduah, the first female Secretary of our great bar, Uchenna Nwadialo our Assistant Secretary, Nnamdi Anagor our able Financial Secretary, Mrs. Mercy Ijato Agada our National Treasurer, Dr. Rapulu Ernest Nduka our National PRO, Mr. Olakunle Edun the Welfare Secretary, and Mr. Ferdinand Naza the NBA Assistant PRO. I urge you all to put in your best to make this government a huge success.

It is my honest belief that Nigerian lawyers welfare shall be taken seriously by this administration. There is no gainsaying that the aim of every association is to cater for the welfare of her members. We as an association must look inward to solving the problems of our members’ welfare to the barest minimum. Our house cannot be on fire while we are chasing other things that have little or nothing to do with our association.

I have no doubt that our president elect will do all it takes to put smiles on the faces of our members. I urge all the excos to cooperate with Mr. President and bring us the desired change that will be all inclusive, brave and vocal. I offer myself to serve this administration in any capacity(ies) Mr. President shall deem fit. My sincere prayer is that this administration should succeed.

To succeed, we must depart from normal and usual ways of handling and doing things to an unusual way or manner of handling issues that concern our association. The bar must be more proactive in style and approach.

I will not end his write up without thanking Austine Alegeh SAN in a special way for instituting voting system that gives every lawyer an opportunity to determine who leads the NBA
Once again, I wish you a rewarding tenure. We shall talk more on your swearing in
