The Course covers all aspects of Opposition Proceedings from Commencement to Interlocutory Applications, Final Submissions and Appeals.
Trademark Opposition is a suis generis proceeding, commenced pursuant to Section 20 of the Trademarks Act, under which a 3rd Party files an objection to the registration of a Trademark within 2 months of advertisement in the Trademarks Journal. Opposition hearings take place at the Trademark Tribunal while Appeals lie to the Federal High Court.
The 2-day course will cover every aspect of Trademark Opposition and will include practical sessions, case studies and strategies for expediting opposition proceedings.
