Olabisi Makanjuola, a partner in the law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP, has today picked up a nomination form for the office of Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch.
Mr. Makanjuola was accompanied by friends and colleagues to the NBA Lagos Branch office at Lapal house, Igbosere road, Lagos where he picked the nomination form.
Bisi as he is fondly called by friends was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2006 and joined the top commercial law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP in June, 2008 where he rose to become a partner in 2021. Olabisi Makanjuola heads the dispute resolution practice group at Olaniwun Ajayi LP.
Bisi has over a decade of significant experience in arbitration and commercial litigation, with particular focus on banks and other financial institutions. He has made legal representations in superior courts across Nigeria in disputes relating to corporate shareholding, capital markets regulations, contracts, fraud, white-collar crimes, and infrastructure projects. He also completed a secondment at the offices of Herbert Smith Freehills, U.K. and Paris in 2011. Bisi was in 2020 recognized as one of the leading young arbitrators in Nigeria and recently completed a management course at the Lagos Business School.
The news of Mr. Makanjuola picking the nomination form for office of Chairman has generated huge excitement amongst a cross section of members of the branch who see him as a breath of fresh air in the branch.
The elections into offices in the executive committee of the NBA Lagos Branch have been fixed for 27th of June, 2023 with the tenure of the current administration led by Ikechukwu Uwanna coming to an end in July, 2023.
