The Nigerian Bar Association Security Agencies Relations Committee (NBA-SARC), is shocked and dismayed by the kidnapping of Her Honour Janet Galadima, a Customary Court Judge in Kaduna, her four sons and the gruesome murder of one of them.
We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and demand the immediate and safe release of Justice Galadima and her sons. The kidnapping of a judicial officer and her family and the killing of one is a brazen attack on the judiciary and the rule of law.
We urge the security agencies to spare no effort in ensuring the safe rescue of the victims and bringing the perpetrators to justice. We also call on the government to take adequate measures to ensure the safety and security of judicial officers and their families.
The NBA-SARC stands in solidarity with the judiciary and the family of Justice Galadima during this difficult time.
