The Immediate Past Chairman NBA Ikorodu Branch, Mr. Idris Kolawole Thany, has defected from the Mazi Afam Osigwe SAN camp to the Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN camp. His reason for so doing:
“I decided to defect, vote and mobilise support for Mr. Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN after a broad based, wide and extensive consultation and brainstorming with political like minds and leading lights of the Southwest in the legal profession. My decision was further made after a thorough dispassionate consideration of the antecedents of each Presidential Candidate towards the protection and advancement of the interests of the Southwest as a whole in NBA. My personal interest has given way to my group interest. Southwest Lawyers must come together and go into this election as a bloc and not as individuals if the old glory of the Southwest must be restored in the legal profession in Nigeria. This is the time to partner with like minds across Nigeria to actualize a Southwest NBA Presidency come 2026 in line with the letters and spirit of the NBA Constitution. Chukwuka Ikwuazom, SAN is one of such like minds. He is a true lover of the Southwest.”
