Contrary to reports flying around, our investigation has revealed that Nta Ekpiken a candidate in the fast approaching NBA Lagos Elections also submitted a petition against her fellow contestant in the race – Shola Abiloye.
From reports, it seems that Ms. Ekpiken’s complaints is based on a branded bottle water carrying the name of Mrs. (Dr) Abiloye which was used at a wedding involving a member of the Ikeja Branch of the NBA on Saturday, 26th of June, 2021.
The Bride, a member of the Ikeja Branch is a family friend to Dr. Abiloye who is also her family physician. She is said to be aghast on learning that a petition was submitted against the husband of her physician who only sought to show her love and support on her wedding day. According to her “I am deeply offended that a fellow woman will invade my private space in the pursuit of her political ambition. My husband and I were dismayed when we heard of the petition. We have both resolved to go the extra mile including appearing before the NBA Lagos Branch if needed to do so. It’s such a shame!”
The decision of the Electoral Committee is still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.
