He recalled that she was one of the earliest faces that made the Premier Bar attractive to him and inspired him to become active at the branch. Moshood Abiola added that there is no doubt that Chinyere has the capacity, competence and experience to serve as Welfare Secretary to lawyers in Nigeria. He thereafter formally moved a motion that Chinyere Obasi be adopted by the Branch.

The motion was supported and seconded by no less a personality than the Great Chief Zik Obi who was attending the meeting virtually.

The motion having been moved and seconded was carried and the Branch Chairman urged members of the branch to support and vote for Chinyere Obasi in the coming elections.

Distinguished members of the branch then gave Chinyere Obasi a rousing ovation when she took to the podium to address the AGM.
