Dear Colleagues, SANS and elders of our Great Association, the events of the past 24 hours have been unprecedented as it relates to our branch Elections.
I have vascillated between giving in to the whims and caprices of a few or standing by the letters and spirit of our constitution and the Uniform bye- laws for branches. It is at a moment like this that I must Draw from the strength and support of our ever resilient members.
Accordingly after due Consultation with the SANS and elders of the Branch and in fidelity to our Constitution I hereby Call on our members to come out enmasse and vote for the Candidates of their Choice in the Elections slated for tomorrow the 14th Day of June, 2020 between 8-4pm which elections shall be Observed by the NUJ, Civil Society Groups and Under the Strict Security Guidance of the Nigerian Police, the DSS and officials of PUWOV while abiding by the Covid-19 rules as stipulated by the PTF, NCDC and the State covid 19 Committee.
