You will recall that the NBA recently requested her members to participate in the ongoing survey (by the NBA Remuneration Committee) on remuneration and scale of charges in the legal profession. We are grateful to those who have completed the survey forms.
While several responses to the survey have been received, the consultants have noted that most of the responses were received only from a handful of the NBA Branches, particularly: Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, and Ibadan.
Considering that the purpose of the survey is one that affects the practices and earnings of all lawyers across the country, the NBA hereby reminds and urges more lawyers from different jurisdictions to actively participate in the survey by completing the survey forms. Your views are not only important to ensure that the perspectives of your branch members are appropriately captured but are also necessary to enable the NBA Remuneration Committee to continue with its assignment.
The leadership of the branches of the NBA are also kindly requested to make internet facilities available at their branch secretariats for use by members who may otherwise be unable to access the internet on their own for this purpose.
