Dear Young Lawyer, stop suffering from the “Messiah Complex”. You cannot solve all problems, and on many occassions, the fault isn’t solely on you but also on the Judiciary, CAC, Police etc.
Sometimes, you would do beyond your best with the capacity within your access and yet, things wouldn’t just work out for your client. Biko, don’t kill yourself, just ensure you are fair and transparent to your clients (and make refunds where and when appropriate – after paying yourself based on quantum meriut).
Also ensure that you do not breach any law including the R.P.C. when trying to be super-lawyer to a Client. And abeg, if you enter problems, let it not be a trouble from eating a client’s money, negligence or fraud.
You are not a magician, you are only a lawyer.
