Top contender for the office of the Secretary of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Kelechukwu Uzoka was spotted at about 4.20pm on Thursday, 13th of April 2023 as he submitted his nomination form and supporting documents.
When pressed for comments, Mr Uzoka had this to say:
“In continuing with my service and dedication to the Branch, I have submitted my nomination form for the position of Secretary of the Branch. I am prepared and eager to serve the branch in this role and hope that, with your support, we will take the Branch to greater heights”
Recall that Mr. Uzoka who is the lead Partner at K&C Partners, was spotted at the Lagos Branch Secretariat on the 4th of April when he picked up his nomination form.
Mr. Uzoka is currently the secretary of the 2023 Conference Planning Committee of the National Association of Catholic Lawyers (NACL), Lagos Archdiocese.
In 2020 during and in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests, Mr. Uzoka was one of the leading voices and actors for the protection of the rights of protesters and secured the release of several persons who were unlawfully detained for participating in the protests.
He is a result oriented and focused person with considerable experience in technology law and LegalTech, real estate and construction, branding, entertainment law, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and start-up advisory. He also has interests in policy research and governance.
