Unknown to many, Ighalo is a huge fan of both Alabi and Alaseyori. He has on different occasions invited both singers for private worship session with his family and also sang their songs to the admiration of fans.
The Al-Shabab of Saudi Arabia striker who clocked 32 recently, has been in a celebration mood since he arrived the country after helping his club to finish second in the Pro League.
Notwithstanding the controversy between gospel singers Tope Alabi and Adeyinka Alaseyori over the song, titled “Oniduro mi”, Odion Ighalo invited both singers separately for a private worship session.
In a report that went viral, Tope Alabi described the hit song ‘Oniduro mi’ as belittling God’s capacity on mankind, saying that the song does not explain God’s powers fully.
Meanwhile, both singers appear to have settled the squabble, Alaseyori called on her fans to respect Alabi who is like a mother to her. Alabi also thanked her fans for standing with her.
To commemorate this year’s birthday, Ighalo separately invited both singers to lead his family in a private worship session.
Ighalo and his family danced to songs from both gospel singer Tope Alabi and Yinka Alaseyori respectively.
Yinka Alaseyori shared “Senior man @ighalojude thanks for having us again. Many blessings this new season. #HomeWorship #BirthdayPraise #Geminis”
Tope Alabi also posted a video of herself and band performing at Ighalo’s residence.
Many fans have praised Ighalo for bringing the gospel singers to sing for his family regardless of any controversy.
