Hushpuppi in Plea Bargain Deal with US Attorney Office

Ramon Abass popularly known ‘Hushpuppi’ in Instagram has pleaded guilty to one of the charges against him in a US court, to wit – Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering.

He agreed to appear and plead guilty to Count Two of Information in United States v. Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, Case No. 2:20-CR-00322-ODW, which charged him with Conspiracy to Engage in Money Laundering, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1956(h).

According to the well circulated court process, Hushpuppi had the deal with United States Attorney Office for the Central District of California (USAO).

And the plea bargain deal is limited to the USAO and not binding on any other federal, state, local, or foreign prosecuting, enforcement, administrative, or regulatory authorities.

Hushpuppi faces up to 20 years in prison by this deal. According to the deal, the court process states that “Defendant understands that statutory maximum sentence that the Court can impose for violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1956(h), as charged in the Information is 20 years’ imprisonment,

“3-year period of supervised release; a fine of $500,000 or twice of the gross gain or gross loss resulting from the offense, whichever be the greatest; and mandatory special assessment of $100.”
