Nigeria has come a long way from despotic rule to the era of democracy. Yes, we still have a long way to go. We need to hold ourselves accountable for the state of the nation. But that we have lived enough to see a democratic government is something to celebrate.
I rejoice with you all on this day and urge us all to participate in the democratic operations. Let us tolerate each other. Let us learn to live with people who have different opinions and beliefs. Let us be democratic.
