My heart goes out to our colleagues from the Ikot Ekpene Branch who were involved in an accident on their journey back from the conference in Abuja. I am deeply saddened by this unfortunate incident, and my thoughts and prayers are with the injured lawyers and their families.
I extend my gratitude to the eyewitnesses and policemen who promptly responded to the situation. As we await confirmation of the cause of the accident, we urge all members of the legal community to prioritize their safety and ensure that proper and proactive safety measures are taken, as much as lies within our power, as we embark on road travels.
I will continue to offer my support and assistance to the injured. I also call on all our colleagues to join me in offering up prayers for their full and swift recovery.
