ECNBA CLEARS ANNE AGI TO RUN AS MEMBER, GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE BAR (GCB)

Information reaching lawyerwaka is that Ms Anne Uruegi Agi, the Chief Rapporteur of the NBA has been deemed qualified and cleared to run for office as one of the 20 NBA REPRESENTATIVES TO THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE BAR (GCB) by the Electoral Committee of the NBA (ECNBA).

You would recall that the ECNBA has published guidelines to members of the Bar interested in running for the office of General Council of the Bar, along with other NBA elective offices and therein it was stated that NBA has 20 slots on the GCB and the said positions will be shared 6 slots per zone (Northern, Western and Eastern Zones) and the 2 slots left will be accorded the highest losers.

With this clearance, Ms Agi is contesting for the position from the Eastern Zone, as she is from Cross River State.

Ms Anne Uruegi Agi was called to Bar in 2005 and is currently a lecturer at the University of Calabar.

She is also very passionate and vocal about space Law and is the Co-founder/Trustee of LEARNSPACE FOUNDATION, an NGO spreading awareness on space law and space tech.
