Oladotun Hassan, Chairman of Eti-Osa Bar Forum and aspirant for the office of the National Assistant Publicity Secretary has responded to his disqualification by the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association.
In a statement issued by him, he stated that the grounds for his disqualification which is that his Nominator and Seconder does not have the required number of years on the Branch executive is not in issue at all. He stated further that he was nominated by Oludare Adesanya, who is 10 years post-call and a Co-Opted Executive Committee Member for 2 terms (2016-2020) on the Executive Committee of Epe Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association. He stated also that his seconder, Adeoye Oyekanmi is also 10 years post-call and an Executive Committee member of Epe Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association for two terms (2016-2020).
He expressed the fact that he will appeal his disqualification within the prescribed 7 days’ period . He called in his supporters and well-wishers to remain calm as he is bound to surmount the hurdles and get onto the ballot.
