I have received the very sad news of the death of Chief Mrs. Phoebe C. Ajayi-Obe, SAN the 1st Female SAN from the Old Eastern Region & 2nd Female SAN in Nigeria. .
Chief Mrs. Phoebe C. Ajayi-Obe, SAN was an accomplished and astute lawyer. She was very committed to the advancement of the legal profession and maintained an active and vigorous involvement in promoting the Rule of law and defending the down trodden. Her death is surely a big loss to the Legal profession.
My condolences go to her family, friends, colleagues, members of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria and the NBA. I pray that the good Lord will grant her peaceful repose and give all her loved ones the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
