Chinyere Obasi, a prominent candidate for NBA Welfare Secretary had the following words to say about the SLP conference holding in Asaba Delta State, between 3rd and 4th July, 2022.
” ‘Legal Practice in Nigeria: Our Reality, Our Future’ is the theme of this year’s conference of the NBA Section on Law Practice. This theme in indeed deep and goes to the root of law practice as obtainable in Nigeria. It creates an avenue for deep retrospection, wherein we lawyers ought to ask ourselves if we are satisfied with the current state of law practice in the country.
The state of law practice is one of the factors that determine the welfare of lawyers. I hold this argument, in view of the fact that a decent avenue for law practice increases the chances of robust remuneration. This is why I am particularly delighted by this theme.
I welcome delegates to the conference and wish us all a successful outing.
