The Lagos Airport Hotel, Awolowo Way, Ikeja is engulfed in fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
However, firefighters and other emergency services are battling to put out the fire as at the moment.
The Director General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said in a statement that a building within the hotel premises was also affected but the fire has been put out.
He stated that the agency received multiple reports of a fire outbreak at Ikeja Airport Hotel along Obafemi Awolowo Way in Ikeja and on arrival at the above scene, it was determined that three (3) vehicles had caught fire. The resultant fire affected the Tour Africa Transport Company within the airport hotel premises and not the hotel building itself.
