President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered phased and gradual relaxation of the lockdown order on Lagos, FCT and Ogun to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The President, in a broadcast on Monday evening, said the decision was informed by socio-economic impacts of the lockdown on Nigerians.
He however said the relaxation of the lockdown will take effect from Monday, May 4.
He stated that there will be an overnight curfew from 8pm to 6am. This means all movements will be prohibited during this period except for essential services.
There will also be a ban on non-essential inter-state passenger travel until further notice.
