The death of Alhaji Aliyu Umar, SAN is indeed a great loss to the Nigerian Bar.
My condolences go to members of his family and to the members of the Kano Branch of the Nigeran Bar Association.
I heard of the diligent service of Alhaji Aliyu Umar (SAN) when he was the Director, Public Prosecutions in the Ministry of Justice of Kano State and also as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the state.
These are indeed sad times for the family and friends of the departed soul including the NBA, Kano Branch. I have heard of his good works in Kano State.
His absence will certainly be felt. As I condole with his family, friends and the NBA, Kano Branch, I pray that Allah give them the strength to bear this great loss.
